Get ready for a summer of creativity and community spirit! Art Aspirations, a brand-new, community-driven arts initiative, is launching across East Lindsey's market towns—and you could be part of it.  Led by Kate Giffen, Place Officer for Market Towns, this exciting project invites local artists and residents to come together for a series of hands-on workshops. These sessions will lead to the creation of inspiring public artworks that reflect the unique hopes, dreams, and identities of each town.

We're currently looking for passionate, community-focused artists based in Louth, Horncastle, Spilsby, Wainfleet, Alford, and Wragby to lead these collaborative projects during the summer holidays. If you have a strong connection to your town or artistic medium and are available between 24 July and 4 September, we'd love to hear from you!

We're aiming to recruit six artists, each working in a different medium, to help bring local creativity to life and leave a lasting artistic legacy.

"This is more than just an art project," says Kate Giffen. "It's about giving people a voice through creativity and celebrating the unique identity of each town. We're excited to see how local artists and communities will bring their visions to life."

Art Aspirations is proudly supported by the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF) and supports the wider Vital and Viable Towns initiative—boosting cultural engagement, community pride, and town centre vibrancy across the district.  If you are interested in applying here is the project brief Art Aspirations - Artist Call Out (PDF, 106 KB)(opens new window)
